Air-Preheater / Gas-Gas Heater Restoration
HSS Automated Restoration Cleaning System with Patented Molecularization Technology demonstrated its superiority in a recent trial comparison with other automated and traditional methods at a 1,000 MW coal-fired power plant in Asia, featuring an 18m diameter and 2.8m deep APH.

Restoration Types
Air-Preheater (APH)
It removes ash, soot, and fouling from APH surfaces, improving heat transfer efficiency and reducing pressure drop and CO2 emissions. This patented automated process ensures thorough restoration cleaning while minimising downtime and damage to the APH elements.
Optimising the APH's performance leads to more efficient combustion and reduced fuel consumption, key factors in lowering CO2 emissions.
Gas-Gas Heater (GGH)
A blocked Gas-Gas Heater (GGH) in an FGD system hinders flue gas reheating, causing condensation and corrosion on the GGH elements. Reduced plume buoyancy worsens pollutant dispersion. Increased pressure drop demands more fan power, lowering efficiency. Fouling from ash, gypsum, or corrosion products causes blockages. This disruption can lead to FGD inefficiency and potential plant shutdowns, highlighting the need for regular GGH maintenance.
